Public Policy Lab
I guided the Public Policy Lab through a rebrand and website redesign and led public sector research and design projects addressing homelessness, healthcare, and the digital divide.
Background
The Public Policy Lab (PPL) is a nonprofit organization that partners with government agencies and service providers to research, design and test new public policies and services. PPL also works with philanthropies and research institutions to develop human-centered strategies for social innovation.
PPL's work focuses on historically marginalized groups. Project topics include children and families, economic development, health and accessibility, housing and homelessness, and justice and violence. Their teams of researchers, designers, and strategists use methods from design, social sciences, and the tech sector to improve social services and access to them.
My Role
I’m a Design Lead and Project Lead who conducts various public sector research and design projects and manages the company's evolving design system.
Specifically, I
Lead research and design projects for government and philanthropic partners that result in new services, products, and programs across topics such as aging, healthcare access, housing access, and the digital divide
Manage teams and processes to conduct research, generate insights and recommendations, and create storytelling and design artifacts such as audio stories, service blueprints, publications, websites, and more
Guided the company through a rebrand and website redesign and helped develop internal systems and processes related to communications, design, and product development
